Summary
We are looking for a sales and business development (BD) manager with at least 5 years’ experience in sales of human resource or consulting services. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and meticulous to manage our sales and business development processes. In this role you help our company in delivering an ambitious growth plan by increasing market share through the implementation of an effective sales strategy for the German-speaking region. This role is characterized by a mix of business development and sales tasks. Specifically, you will be responsible for delivering direct sales in form of human resource consulting services to both existing and new clients as well as extend our network of partner companies for one of our leading educational programs. This is an opportunity to work with directly with the Managing Director and shape the future of the business with a high chance of joining the future leader board of the enterprise.
Description
The BD and Sales Manager oversees a number of department and tasks including sales, business development, ground support and customer service/after-sales. Candidates are expected to exercise good judgment as well as advanced time-management, project-management, interpersonal skills, and leadership skills. This position involves leading our local German sales team as well as working closely with our international team in China. Main goal of this position is to drive sales and reach direct sales targets. A second task is to extend our network of business partners and finding ways to convince them in a cooperation with our company.
Key Responsibilities
Fully understand the services of an HR consultancy to identify customer needs and provide commercial solutions.
Create and maintain an effective CRM information database.
Drive sales of HR services, such as head hunting, executive search, talent pool building, consulting, and outsourcing.
Deliver a variety of service contracts ranging from 10,000-500,000 EUR in gross value.
Be accountable for creating own opportunities within chosen markets.
Design and implement strategic sales plans aimed at expanding the company’s client base and ensuring a strong presence in the market place.
Identify new market potential and market shifts while being fully aware of new services and competition status.
Consistently achieve agreed monthly / quarterly / annual sales targets.
Develop and successfully execute sales plans.
Produce and present periodic reports to communicate your sales performance to senior management.
Agree service arrangements and negotiate commercial terms & conditions with clients.
Produce and issue professional and competitive quotes to clients.
Education &
Experience
Strong candidates will have 5+ years B2B sales experience with a proven track record of service sales or consulting work.
A strong track record of consistently achieving sales targets in a B2B environment.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to deliver compelling pitches and presentations to both clients and colleagues.
Competence in the use of negotiation skills.
Fluency in English and German is required.
Chinese language skills and affinity for the Chinese culture are considered a plus.
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Economics, Human Resource Management, Management (i.e. MBA), Organizational Behavior or related major.
We expect our candidates to exhibit a high level of strategic thinking, analytical and conversational skills as well as presentation of ideas and approaches.
Previous experience in Sales, HR, Consulting, Business Development or related fields is not required but will be considered a plus.
